Plank, John
, youngest son of Sol and Mary Stutzman Plank was born February 26, 1912 in Strang, Nebraska. The family moved to Harper, Kansas in 1916, where he resided until his death June 10. 1986.

On June 18, 1939 he was married to Estella King who preceded him in death on December 26, 1985.

In his youth he was baptized and became a faithful member of Pleasant Valley Mennonite Church, Harper, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother, and is survived by three nieces and five nephews.

Six children also survive. They are Max, of Chelsea, Michigan; Dennis, of Garland, Texas; Jay, of Harper; Marianne Bass of Wichita; Linda, of Ypsilanti, Michigan; and Kevin, of Maize. Also surviving are ten grandchildren, who are: Kyle and Kerry Plank of Chelsea, Michigan; Sherrill, Debra, and Chris Storey of Garland, Texas; Michael and Scott Plank of Harper; and Rebekah, Joshua, and Daniel Bass of Wichita.

Funeral services were held June 13, 1986 at the Elliott Funeral Home with interment in the Pleasant Valley Mennonite Cemetery in Harper, Kansas.
